Course Intro

You may know many games and how to play, but you may not know how they work and how they are designed. In a typical gaming application, a memory cache is often necessary to be implemented on top of a relational database system to meet the extreme low latency requirement. In the first video, you will learn what exactly is behind a java application or a java game.

After you understood what Redis is and how Redis is being used in Enterprise solutions in the first part, you will learn in this second part how a java backend is built in a MySQL + Redis architecture by a simple example.

After learning Redis in Enterprise solutions and the logic of a Java application/game interacting with its back-end databases, you will see a live demo of a simple java application to explore how a MySQL + Redis architecture actually work in practice.
