Jatin Rajpura Jatin Rajpura has spent the past 8 years in China working in the tech industry and currently works at SAP China. During this time, Jatin was working as an engineer for Office 365 (SaaS service) offered by Microsoft. Jatin’s Cloud journey began at this time with AWS’s IaaS & PaaS and then with Alibaba Cloud. He explored opportunities in the Cloud architect field, looking to build sophisticated applications with increased flexibility, scalability and reliability. Jatin has taken a handful of Alibaba Cloud Academy’s Clouder courses as well as the ACA for Cloud Computing. He took to the videos Oliver Arafat, an Alibaba Cloud SA, due to his clear speech and technical explanation. He was even able to connect with him through DingTalk for further discussion and follow up. Jatin is presently studying security and Cloud architecture, because his job is not only to keep the cloud data safe from hackers but also to maintain compliance within the Cloud. Being part of the Pioneer community helps Jatin improve his skills while obtaining industry-recognized certifications. With the Pioneer club’s support, Jatin helps build his skills and knowledge of implementing business scenarios and help companies build Cloud solutions. Jain appreciates that Alibaba Cloud gives a special platform to its dedicated followers who can advance their skills further through offering special discounts and free e-training videos. Jatin’s next step is working toward becoming an MVP for Alibaba Cloud.
Alberto Roura Alberto Roura is truly an international man. He is a Spaniard living in Australia with a Chinese wife working closely with the ever-growing cloud industry. His path from Spain to Australia lead him to dive into the IT world and his curiosity of the tech industry and his family ties with China brought him to Alibaba. His drive to be a key opinion leader in the cloud industry stems from his interest of the subject and his passion to share with others. Alberto exemplifies the type of people that move this industry forward: an educator, a social gatherer, a content creator, and a voice people are attracted to listen to and learn from. Alberto originally studied electronic engineering in Spain where he began to learn the basics of computer science including the C programming language and Linux operating system. He became engrossed in the way machines work and the language needed for humans to communicate with them. Much like learning a foreign language, humans learning machine language is a difficult yet fascinating task. Outside of human to machine communication, Alberto also became interested in how machines talk to each other and compose networks of information. Quick data flow with input from users was the future in his eyes and he moved to Australia to continue his path in computer education. His job in Australia pushed him to learn more about software development and web application building. At this time, he first came into contact with cloud computing and it immediately struck a chord with him. All the interest in networking and coding came to a head with the power of cloud computing. Now, all of the promises of internet communication and massive scale networking could come true with cloud services and studying how the cloud worked became one of his main focuses. Before finding Alibaba Cloud he spent time using Amazon Web Service and Digital Ocean but found their product lines not to be suitable for what he was trying to learn. After knowing about the success of Alibaba, Alberto found Alibaba Cloud. He had been familiar with the scale and scope of Taobao as well as other business units and, as someone who considers business from a networking angle, recognized that Alibaba’s internal cloud usage must be very strong. In 2017, he found that Alibaba Cloud was offering its services outside of the company, so he made an account and started digging around.
Ghulam Qadir Ghulam Qadir, a native Pakistani, went to school for Computer Science and Engineering from Preston University in Karachi City. After graduating, wanting to pursue a career in the growing technology industry, Ghulam began his career at the Ministry of Manpower (2007-2010) in Oman. Ghulam was excited to make an impact in an IT marketplace that was still in its infancy of development. Ghulam found this job challenging as Oman is the home to over 2 million ex-patriots (nearly half of the country’s population); managing their employment records and official documents expanded Ghulam’s boundaries and capabilities as an engineer. For the private sector, particularly smaller businesses, cloud computing is necessary to stay competitive however prices of cloud services may not be cheap enough for companies to afford. Alibaba Cloud provides industry standard cloud products at a fraction of the cost and became the principle motivation for small businesses in Oman to switch over the Alibaba Cloud. The public sector, on the other hand, is much more concerned about the security of information than prices of the products. Ghulam says that Alibaba clouds security products are among the most reliable in the market place and appropriate for federal government use. Ghulam is forever a student of the Cloud and sharing his knowledge on several cloud community webpages including CloudsAnaylsis and DataMounts is his way of continuing to support the developing industry around him. His growing interest in Artificial Intelligence has inspired him to begin learning other computing languages such as R and other low-level machine languages. He is already an Alibaba Cloud MVP and continues to take Alibaba Cloud Academy courses hoping to pass the professional certification courses in 2019. Ghulam’s ultimate goal is become a solution architect for the Cloud. The vision of Cloud computing includes helping nearly every industry to automate some aspect of their workflow while being able to manage and store important information about the business. As someone who is proficient in many uses of the Alibaba Cloud, Ghulam feels confident that he will be able to help businesses of all sizes and of all demands reach the Cloud and improve their efficiency. In doing so he becomes a new sort of “Cloud consultant”, one who is able to take in many different businesses and develop Cloud-based solutions, solutions for the future. “The industry is moving fast”, says Ghulam, “but I am moving faster.”
